Bridgetown
Bridgetown is located in the beautiful Warren Blackwood region 270 km south of Perth. The town was gazetted in June 1868 by surveyor Thomas Carey. Bridgetown still retains many historic buildings today. In the early days Bridgetown relied on agricultural pursuits such as sheep farming and timber. In 1892 a gold rush brought prosperity to the town.
Nowadays the tranquil and picturesque landscape appeals to tourists and residents alike. There are many bush walking and picnic opportunities in the area.
The area is also known for Blues at Bridgetown, Festival of Country Gardens and the Blackwood Marathon.

Come and enjoy the spectacular river views from the Bridgetown trails, there are something to suit everyone with trails ranging from 2 km - 8 km long.
Come and embrace the Hester Forest situated just out of Bridgetown with the short trails starting at 30 minutes to the long trails at 5 hours long.
Bridgetown Jarrah Park showcases the beauty of the famous Jarrah trees and the Blackwood River, with trails from 600 metres to 6.5 km.
Walk through the tranquil reserve and see marri, jarrah trees and numerous birds and other wildlife.

The kangaroos and emus of the Donnelly River Village love for you to pat and feed them along the 2.5 km – 8 km Village walks.
Visit the Sunnyside Hall along your travels through the Sunnyside Reserve where there are many trails to follow.
Visit the old site of the Winnejup School, where in 1908; children went to school before moving to Bridgetown school. Follow the many trails through the reserve and discover the history.
