This picturesque walk and picnic spot is located 19 km from Nannup, on the left hand side of the Brockman Hwy. This highway connects the south west towns of Nannup and Bridgetown.

At the Karri Gully picnic spot the Bibbulmun Track crosses the Brockman Hwy and one can follow that trail to Gregory Brook for overnight comping.

Karri Gully is situated within the Dalgarup Reserve, which comprises of 2,560 ha of native bush just west of Nannup.  Dalgarup was identified as an area of high conservation value due to the abundance of plant and wildlife in the area.

Only in the  south west of Western  Australia due to the moist climatic conditions, combined with the nutrient rich soileucalyptus trees have evolved to become one of the largest species of trees on Earth.  The Karri trees can grow to an impressive 85m and is named after the aboriginal word 'karri' for these massive trees. Along the trail one can see beautiful old growth stands of Karri and Jarrah.  One can sometimes find hollows such as depicted in the photo on the left hand side. These hollows are used by the native fauna.
