The King Jarrah tree is part of a magnificent heritage trail only 3 km form Manjimup. This tree is estimated to be about 500 years old, is 45 metres high and the girth is 2.6 metres wide. A 650 metre sealed trail meanders through the jarrah understory and explores some of the tactics that plants of the Jarrah forest use to survive and reproduce. The trail is suitable for wheelchairs and pushers and there is beautiful undercover BBQ area for picnics.

On display along the trail is Queejup's Birth Tree. The interpretive signage honors the life of a local Aboriginal stockman that had a huge impact on the pastoral industry around Manjimup. Queejup's Birth Tree originally grew on Balbaraup Road, but was removed during roadworks in 2005. Part of the tree was salvaged and transported to the heritage trail for preservation.

Queejup was renowned in the Manjimup area and beyond for his exceptional skill and flair as a rough rider and horseman. A proud Noongar man, Queejup was said to possess the uncanny gift of charming horse spirits.
